Why I Wrote: A New Series
Our overall mission with Eighty Unplugged is to create a platform for songwriters to be more than just background music. There is a beautiful vulnerability in songwriters that is easy to overlook if you forget the real human heart behind the beat. To expand the platform, we are introducing a new series: “Why I Wrote…”
Debuting this season with the lovely Alyssa Malvoisin with her song, “Cut It Out, Take It All”. This series gives more context to original songs, just like we hear from the songwriter when we watch them perform live! Inspired by the moments between performances; when we can take the time to appreciate what we’ve just listened to and what we are about to.
